【育ててもらった町にアートで恩返し。】
佐賀県小城市小城町松尾に、新しい店「todays」が誕生しようとしている。
立ち上げたのは、同市出身のアーティスト・松田一郎。全国や海外で制作を続け、15年間拠点としていた福岡を離れ、2025年11月に故郷へ戻った。「田舎の空気の方が、線も色も素直に出てくる」と語る松田。転機となったのは、かつて祖母・シヅエさんが営んでいた江里口鮮魚店の存在だった。この場所を別の形で生かしたいという想いから、芸術・盆栽・珈琲を軸にした店づくりを構想。絵を見るだけでも、盆栽を眺めるだけでも、コーヒーを飲むだけでもいい。日常の延長線上にアートがある場所、それが「todays」だ。正式オープンは2026年春予定。2026年1月1日から3日にはプレオープン期間を設け、アカウントをフォローしている来店者全員にドリンクを無料で提供する。その始まりは、もうすぐだ。
A new shop called “todays” is set to open in Matsuo, Ogi City, Saga.
Founded by local artist Atsuichiro Matsuda, the space brings together art, bonsai, and coffee as part of everyday life. After fifteen years in Fukuoka, Matsuda returned to his hometown in November 2025, inspired by the former site of his grandmother’s fish shop. todays is a place to stop by-whether to look at art, enjoy bonsai, or simply have a cup of coffee. The official opening is planned for spring 2026. A pre-opening will be held from January 1 to 3, offering free drinks to all followers.
